Ethiopia is renowned as the birthplace of coffee, and it remains today a beloved specialty coffee industry destination due to its remarkable range of flavors. Gargari Gutity Station is located in the Gargari Kebele in the southern part of Ethiopia, 22 km from the city of Gedeb. It is dedicated to producing both washed and natural coffees, where more than 3,200 farmers contribute on a weekly basis.
Over a number of years, the Yirgacheffe region has developed a distinguished reputation for fine coffees, producing some of the most sought-after microlots in world. The combination of high altitude, fertile soil, consistent and plentiful rains, and an abundance of local knowledge are all contributing factors to the high status of Yirgacheffe coffees.
